History
The Spanish Government granted the petition for the proclamation of Rosales as a separate municipality on March 16,1852. The petition was made by Don Gaspar Velo, Isabelo Villapa, Simplicio Sansano, Avelino Pine, Anecito Sansano, Luciano PaƱgilinan, Joaquin Sevilla, and others.
Rosales is politically subdivided into 37 barangays:
